The Victorian Era
This is for all those who do not know all that much about the Victorian era. It shall help guide you into the Victorian world, society, fashion, technology and other such important things. If there is something else you wish to know please PM me and I shall add it to this list of information.

Corsets and bustles were popular, with elegant gloves and beautiful hats you could be viewed as the queen herself however showing off your ankles was simply unheard of.

Society:
During these days women were viewed as lesser, being mostly property to men and acting as a wife and mother. For those who wished to be different they found the rest of their short miserable lives in the asylum however some women were starting to rise to importance such as opera singers. Most women were not allowed to run a business unless it was with her husband and young girls could not be around boys without a chaperone. Men hold all the power even if there is a Queen on the throne and everyone asks god to save her.
There are also three positions in society, the rich, the up and coming middle class now growing with family stores and little industries, and the lower class just trying to get by. Class is told by your clothes much like today. The wealthy bought the rich and expensive clothes and the poor wore whatever they could afford at the time. Women of the poor society who were unmarried and needed to get by became whores also called unfortunates or Bang tails during the time. Immigration was a big problem as well and immigrants were treated with little respect.
The Underworld:
This is a much different story however; the world is run both my man and woman alike, most whore house mistresses working their girls to death and businesses dealing in the dark art division. The reason being these women could just as easily kill the men and they were the born elite, the fighters, those with so much money that society didn’t care what they did because everyone knew they could make someone vanish with the blink on an eye. Here is a different world with a different style, and a different way of doing things. In order to figure out this world you need to explore it yourself.
Science:
Cars have yet to be invented therefore people travel by horse and carnage, to get to another country you take a boat but the journey could be dangerous so people tend to stay home where it was safe. There is indeed indoor plumbing and electricity is already a big factor what with the long lasting light bulbs now in use. Guns are in circulation however the good old fashioned knife still seems very popular among the gangs and wealthy trying to defend themselves.
Medical research has been big in the 19th century as doctors come into effect. Hospitals are a common thing yet many people will still die of disease. Another break thought was physiology, and trying to cure mental illnesses which don’t always go over so well. Yes there are machine cash registers but nothing fancy aside from press the button and ding, camera’s are around yet they are big clunky things run by professionals.
