Plots: The AfterlifeMany people wonder what happens once we pass on, "we are reborn" say some. "No we are judged by our deeds in life,” says another. "You are both wrong we all go to a magical world far away," says the last. Well in the end all of them are wrong and yet they are right. Enter for instance the Afterlife, once you die you do indeed go to another world where your soul is judged but does not linger. No it prepares for it's rebirth into the world. Some come back as cats, others dogs, the few here and there a tree or horse and then others who were very good are reborn into the wonderful life as a human. However not all souls can be rated the same. There are those who do not deserve a new life but deserve something far greater or worse. Two souls linger now among the mass of lives who have returned to the flesh and blood world. Only two kinds wait for their judgment and their new life, neither shall have a pleasant outcome but both shall become apart of a grander design. The first set of souls are those so wicked that to let them be human again would be a crime, souls so black that they would only grow darker with each life. These souls are tossed to another world and turned into monsters, demons as they are called. Merciless beings sent back to the mortal realm to cause pain, suffering and chaos. The second set of souls however are just the opposite, pure and innocent souls so bright that they would suffer in a living form. Souls so free and powerful that to make them human again would cause them short lives that these souls would be unable to function in. This group is created to balance out the dark beings in the world. These souls are made into strong beings of light, angels to watch over and guide humanity. Protect them from the darkness creeping ever closer to them. These beings linger in a world beyond life known as the Life Beyond Life, there is no battle between the souls of humans for only the human can decide their fate. The true battle is the battle of balance, if darkness were to rule the world would be destroyed but if light were to rule the world would fall apart. Even the slightest tip one way or the other is enough to end the delicate balance for the human race. The only way to truly protect humanity is by adding a third party, the grey. A neutral group of watchers who play with the world like a large game of chess. Each step planed out, each person a pawn. This is the world where logic can no longer help you, where humans are alien and small. You have entered this wilderness unprepared, a human among gods trying to play the grand game of chess but shall you falter yourself or is all the world to falter? Fate is in your hands, you decide what happens to your soul in the end and which side you shall take. It is your world, your choice, stand with gods or against them. Unlock the secrets of life and death and strive to change existence forever. Leave now the mortal coil and enter The Victorian Society: Life After Death.

One Can Not Prove a Life After Death
"Mr. Winsington you can not bring this sort of information to the board, you would be tossed out of the university forever. Do you know how ridicules you sound?" Mr. Chalson spoke out to his young college shaking his pipe at him as the sweet smelling smoke rose to the ceiling above. The room was poorly light by a small chandelier and furnished with worn arm chairs and a little two person sofa which Mr. Winsington perched.
"Yes my old friend and I realize the complications of this research but still something must come of it. I have proof, is this not proof enough my good fellow?" The young lad with the pale white face and bleached hair held something to the light that the elder grey haired gentleman could just make out. With wide eyes he put his pipe back into his mouth and looked towards the object rather puzzled.
"By god, what have you done, what on this great earth have you done William?"
"I have proven that there is life after death, in fact my old friend...I have more then proven it. I have experienced it." Rising up off the sofa the young lad seemed taller then ever before, his shadow seeming to suck the light from the room and replace it with a bone chilling darkness.
"What do you mean by this."
"You know what I mean, The Magarthian Tomb of Edmund the Damned. His book said it all, I figured I would dive into the darkness to find out if what he said was true and you know what I found Arthur? It was all true, yet when I came back from the darkness I had not come alone. No Arthur I am afraid I have unleashed something far greater. Daemons Arthur, not those second rate little recreations, those shadows of human souls damned by their wicked deeds. No Arthur I mean pure blooded daemons begging for freedom into this fierce and wild world, ready to cause the chaos we so deserve. Help me Arthur, help me set them free, help me bring prosecution to the human race."
"Your mad William, simply mad."
"Am I Arthur, or am I seeing the world clearer then any other?" The boys voice changed to that of a thousand whispers all speaking at once, no one voice held a tone of gender, not female nor male but a neutral sound filled only with darkness and cries. "Joins us Arthur...in the darkness."
...Five Months Later
Since the horrible unsolved murder of Professor Arthur Charlson it seems all of London has fallen into a strange state with unsolved murders and large crime lords rising to power. Darkness is all the queens men can call it. Darkness has taken its hold over this vast city and there seems no light until now with the arrival of the Abaline, a very renowned detective and perhaps something more.
London it seems has been tossed into a world far beyond humans can comprehend and for this we need those who are not human to guide us. The light that shall shine through the darkness starting with the Mysterious Abaline. Three sides we know exist, the light, the dark, and the grey. Three sides always kept in perfect balance but the day balance is broken is the day humanity will suffer. These are the dark days of man, the days where men will raise up monsters, the days where the scourge shall inherit to earth. These are the days that shall bring only the night.
