The World After Life:
So I tried to figure out how to cut basically a world of information down to one page and I must say it is not easy. There is stuff all over this board you can read that will also explain more about this world and I must ask that you learn as much about this world because going in her unprepared is not a good thing in the least. You will become lost, start portraying things incorrectly, and provoke the wrath of the High Queen Lady Victorian. So long story short these came to be some of the things I found rather important about this world that are things people need to know. I shall edit this as we go along in the event more information is needed ((mostly to those not into the book part of the site since that pretty much spells it all out…sort of.)) Anyways here is the best guide and tool for this world, use it well and as I said, hunt down all the info you can get your hands on because once you put your character out there it’s a dog eat dog world.
Souls After:
Here is the story of what happens to those who die. On this site you may die and that will be a shame but fear not because here in The Victorian society death is not the end. There is a very basic process that happens the moment you soul leaves your body. It is judged first of all and by whom you ask? Well the seraphim’s ((cross reference species lists)). The outcome of your new life will be judge on your life before. If you were a good person you will be granted a new life of peace and happiness. If you were cruel in your life before you will be reborn into a horrible life and left to make your decisions to see if you wish to fight through it and take a different path or allow yourself to go down a dark path once more.
Once you are sent back to the mortal world it is in faiths hands what you become, cat, dog, human, or horse every soul gets a new body and a second chance. However among this world not all souls can go back to a normal life. There are two categories of souls that can no longer be returned to an average life, in fact they are never returned to life again but linger forever between life and death. These souls are split into two categories, the innocents and the dammed.
The souls of the innocents are taken back into the world of light and turned to angels, beings of purity whose task it to protect the world from darkness and fight against it. The dammed however are taken to the realm of darkness and turned into demons who torment and cause chaos. These two beings fight for dominance but in truth there can be no winner or loser for such a thing to happen would cause existence to stop, therefore perfect balance is maintained by two higher creatures who act on neither side but on both.
Yet not all souls move on into a new life, some are trapped either by the chaos and trauma of their own death or because through human greed and dark desires they were forced to stay within their dead bodies or in unholy replica’s of them. These beings wonder the world without meaning or reason. No purpose to guide them, hollow and caged beasts who are nothing more but mere shadows of the human race. Remember although death can give you a second chance in this world it can also rip the most powerful king down and make him nothing more then a phantom of time wondering hopelessly with no tomorrow to speak of.
Blood if Life:
The representation of life, all things living make blood and because of blood the world can run. However for those no longer living they find it rather difficult to create blood and therefore they find it very difficult to exist within a solid world such as the one we live in. Some creatures such as ghost dolls and vampires have learned ways of surviving by feeding off the blood of the living so they may remain here in this world while others have an adapted system such as the shadowers that created replicated artificial black blood.
Angels and demons are a different story, because they are an organized being they do indeed have blood and keep their blood yet if they are wounded fatally will need replacement blood since their bodies no longer produce it. Through this demons will kill humans for their blood and angels when losing too much of these precious fluids will become vampiric feeding on freshly dead bodies so theirs can replenish the supply. If any none living being runs low on this important fluid they will begin to fade away back into their world from which they were spawned and in some cases may never be able to return to the living world again. It is no wonder then that to the none living that blood is seen as the most valuable resource in all the mortal world. Without blood the living would be long gone and the none living would be trapped as nothing more then wisps of conciseness.
Some creatures adapt, and some are even used as carriers of blood for the none living such as the zombie like creatures who wander graveyards at night and drink the blood of the dead. They are pale mindless creatures who are part phantom but mostly solid. They are nothing but flesh filled with blood, pale white foggy eyes and jagged teeth they are know simply as the Blood Sacks, the first race of seraphim’s. These creatures are unable to digest and use the blood and are often targets of demons and rabid angels for their latest blood supply. It is assumed these odd fleshy beasts who have blood dripping from every Orpheus hide in the crypts at night and once they are drained or feasted on flee into corpses as spirits until they can collect blood once more.
Cats:
Cat’s are the only animal who can see what is truly there and despite any little mind trick can truly see angels and demons as they are. Cats are drawn to angels like catnip and repulsed by demons often times hissing and attacking them. A cat can see the demonic or angelic ora around beings and can even see a shadower and spirits. They are able to view all and every life after being and for this reason their eyes are valued in some circles.
By cutting out the eyes of cats and placing the cornea into the lens of glasses a human too can see all life after beings despite the foggy vision and not being as trustworthy as the cat’s original vision while it was alive. When moving through the world one must always be careful when seeing a dead cat. If a dead cat is nearby then chances are a demon, evil spirit, or a person dealing in the dark arts is not far behind. When viewing many cats gathering together chances are an angel is not far behind. Cats are the best way to observe the unseen world and a good resource for making ‘spectral optics’ ((the glasses made of cat corneas))
Laws of Life After:
Here it be the laws of life after, follow the laws and all will be well. Break the laws and suffer the punishments of the unseen world
1. Those none living can never tell the living what they are.
2. Do not befriend humans
3. Do NOT fall in love with humans or reproduce.
4. Let no one see you as you truly are, make them see through you.
5. Never make yourself apart of the living world.
6. Never fight in the open.
7. Never try to hunt down your past from when you were alive.
These are never followed to a T but think of them as the guidelines. Besides I will watch the none living beings and hold random councils for angels breaking the rules since they need to follow these more closely then any other being. Not everyone will be punished but some may be brought into light for stepping over these boundaries…mostly only for breaking the big ones. I will not tell you the big ones; I’ll let you figure that out yourselves.
Deity System...Sort of:
Well this world has an odd deity system. The main ones are not being but rather forces, these forces are called Life and Death. They have no physical manifestation however thought them came the world we know today. Above these two forces is everything, the beginning of time simply called the Great Force. It is I all things but has no shape or form and in fact is almost never mentioned. A step down from the forces are the first manifested high beings, the sisters as they are called, the grand keepers of balance. They are the offspring of life and death called. They were the two who started the big bang.
After the grand sisters come the odd begins who made themselves of pure raw energy and took form in latter years. They are called G.O.D. or Grand Order of Designers. They are also called the Akun, these are the faces we associate the gods with. To use they are the masters picking the sides of good or evil, the evil being the fallen Akun called Da Akun. If these beings were ever to come into our world every atom every molecule would fall apart and the world would no longer exist. Because of this they must work through angels and demons. However they believe themselves to have been the masters until they found themselves to be the puppets. In their arrogance and desire to protect humanity from power hungry beasts they trapped the sisters of life and death in none existence. The theory is that they are simply jealous since the sisters can interact with humans in person and live among them, however all the same it was the sisters who nearly ripped the world in two more times then can be counted.
Sisters of Life and Death:
Polarious and Eukadies also known as Phoenixand Lady Victorian. Between the two they created the world of Life After, Polaris being the legendary beast known as the phoenix she created the process of recycling souls and therefore created rebirth. Lady Victorian created the angels and all their stages being called The Great Life. Both were trapped by the Akun after the great war that divided the Akun in two, the fallen evil Da Akun and the benevolent Akun. It was said the sisters had created corruption for their people by raging on in their bloody sibling rivalry where they nearly destroyed the world and caused the extinction of many species on earth and later cause a near enslavement of the Egyptian peoples. Since then no one has seen either sister and their tale has nearly been forgotten.
Not Magic, Science:
This site is not about magic, true there are magical aspects to it but it is more of a science then fairies, unicorns, and wizards. All beings within this world could be scientifically explained ((with Afterlife science anyways)) they need a natural realistic feel to them. No summoning up falls of fire to throw at people because none of the beings within this world can do such things aside from Phoenix and that is only because of her high body temperature. Please keep everything as scientific as possible and as far away from magic as possible. Magic just pups a fantasy dump on this world.
How to kill those who are already dead:
Well in this world there are beings who are already dead so how can you possibly destroy something no longer living? Simple one chemical called Nefila. It is an extract from a flower found only in remote locations within the Congo. Then it is combined with quicksilver, arsanic, Opium, black mamba venom, and lithium. It takes 50 years for the mixture to reach full potency and when used will prevent a life after beings wounds from healing causing them to bleed to death. On top of that it will also cause the wound to burn as well causing it to become larger over time. There is an antidote to the poison but if the damage becomes too great the being will die or in this case will stop existing and their soul will shatter into pure energy and be used to create a new soul thus causing the person to die permanently.
Can’t see me now Life After beings Jedi Mind Trick:
Humans can never truly see and angel, demon, or other none living being. Not that they are invisible but they trick the vision making you not want to see them. You can look right at them and never notice they are their, it is a wave length that radiates off their body. This however does not mean you can not see them. If you strain your eyes you will eventually spot them and once you do your eyes will naturally adjust to them and it will be hard for you not to see them. In this event you will be able to pick them out of a crowded street because they appear brighter then normal people but do not actually radiate any light, your mind simply tricks you into thinking they are brighter.
Even with the mind trick in place you would be able to put an angel or demon in a room of people and have one human count heads and they would be counted but no one would remember there face or even if they were a man or woman. They are easy to forget and easy to go unseen and because of this they can keep themselves secret.
Just like Bambi:
All things have a scent, but unlike normal things none living beings have a scent and a look about them that demons or other none living beings ((cats and some gifted humans also)) can pick out with ease. However when creatures like angels first come to this world they are mostly defenseless mostly because they are confused and have no strength. Because of this they come into the world like fawns, they have no scent for the first week in our world and they have no special glow or look to them. In fact they are dull in shade and odder less so that demons can not hunt them down and kill them.
Why Angels Don’t Fall:
Angels are unable to fall as lore suggests, all corrupt and evil souls are already turned into demons and angels are too pure to be corrupted. The only higher being that can be corrupted are the Akun. There has only been one case of an evil angel and she was created as an evil angel rather then falling into darkness.
