François // Fontaine // de Largillière
"Machiavellian Marquis"
Government Files:
Full Name: François de Largillière
Age: Twenty-four
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Height: 5 feet 11 inches
Weight: 104 pounds
Hair Color: Fallow
Eye Color: Sepia brown
Skin Type: Ivory
Face Claim: Stuart Townsend
General Appearance:
Beautiful. François has large, dark brown eyes and curly burgundy hair that reaches down to his shoulders. With pale skin, delicate face structure, and high cheekbones, he’s almost mistakable for a young girl. Large, sepia eyes and lack in height, François has a slim, childlike, and curveless build that is malnourished under his clothes: a result of growing up starving. He has straw-like ebony hair that's nearly always filthy and reaches his shoulders; it hasn't been cut short because François doesn’t dare to leave his room for scissors, and he most certainly would not use the scissors intended for the ladies’ embroidery.
François usually wears elegant, dark clothing, in fabrics like silk or velvet. Deep reds, puce, and black are his most common colour scheme, jackets over semi-formal shirts or slacks and dress shoes. When he’s ‘servicing’ a lady, however, François changes into a plain black assemble he doesn’t mind getting stained…unless they request otherwise. He’s been forced into wearing dresses far too often, but either way, it all comes off soon enough.

Fears:
Abandonment and dishonesty
Desires:
To be wanted.
Likes:
Dominance, being free to hurt whoever he wanted to without consequences, being revered by everyone who ridiculed him,
Dislikes:
Renegades, adults; particularly other men, world-weariness and monotony, alcohol, drugs and nicotine, swindlers, liars, moaners, narcissism, and he hates having his hair played with. Sanctimonious morons, being preyed upon and dominated by those whom he loathes the very most, becoming as 'stupid' as he perceives everyone else and being forever misunderstood, murder; Fallacieux would
Weakness:
...But truthfully, he is just as cynical and pessimistic as he is sweet and caring. Hating social contact and loathing intimacy, Fallacieux refrains from long-term attachment, cherishing each forged friendship or acquaintance for only a short time before throwing them away. He does not want to have another betrayal after his father, but with the Devil at his heels, he cannot bear to be in social company for long.
He has also come to harbour a searing hatred for pretty, useless things like teddy bears and flowers, all the things he had once cherished and were ripped away from him. He is carefully defensive about everything, but not violent or insulting unless baited. He’s rather gloomy, and won't ever think on the bright side. He believes the grass is not only never greener on the other side, but both sides of the grass have been pissed on and set on fire.
On the surface, Fallacieux is quite amiable though perpetually displeased with the world. For anyone he meets, he makes it his objective to worm his way under their skin, make them as fragile as possible before sending them off with a smile. He'll befriend someone and belittle them in the same breath, never being direct with my insults as he coats them with sugary concerns and comments.
Strengths:
Externally, Fallacieux is sweet and warm. A bit greedy; like a child with a new toy, he dislikes sharing possessions but is quite willing to share his time with someone else. Polite and charming, Fallacieux is a master in conversation, though his fallacy is at any social gathering bigger than two, he does become incredibly bashful.
Beneath his untroubled exterior, Fallacieux is constantly under stress and unease, thankful to anyone that shows kindness and chases the fear away, if only for a little while. To that person especially, Fallacieux is sweeter than pie and shower them with gratitude.
Fallacieux soft-spoken and never boastful, the pinnacle of sweet-natured. He is selfless and patient, always waiting for permission if he feels he may be standoffish for acting a certain way. Fallacieux tries to appear normal and harmless, and definitely not plagued by a vicious disorder. He is strict on himself when it comes to manners, and believes in true love, but never does he hope to be swept up by a woman.
Fallacieux is friendly to anyone who returns the favour. He doesn’t mind talking about meaningless things for hours on end; he'll play any kind of game. Fallacieux generally acts in a light-hearted manner, even when he knows he’s being lied to, as long as you stay with him. Please, please don't leave, all Fallacieux wants is a friend, just one true, honest friend. He is painfully lonely; he will try his hardest to persuade someone to stay with him.
Personality:
Fallacieux could be called childlike, with his improper way of speaking and his extreme aversion to others. Growing up with a father who was always critical, Fallacieux often wants to be ignored, seen as mere dirt, overlooked. He always thinks he's making a fool of himself, no matter what he's doing, as he is extremely self-conscious. He is deathly afraid of other people, which only adds to his insecurity.
His early exposure to tragedy has left Fallacieux an individual fearful of other people and willing to obey all authority. He does have his own sense of morals, but his own personal emotions will be neglected if they conflict with his orders. Though he's fully aware of the risk, Fallacieux can't bring himself to say no to anything, even if his orders are something like: "go into Rowano territory and conceal X number of explosives nearby".
However, though he may carry out an action, his heart would not be in it, and his emotions tend to spill over into reactions such as crying or going into a panic. But he still gets the job done.
Fallacieux can be diligent, but often neglects his work. He'd much rather not stand out. His father's teachings always stuck with him, and thus Fallacieux never lets anything go to waste, nor does he leave things to chance. Those skirts, coats, and a dozen pair of socks he found in the closet? He'll pile them on: when hypothermia hits or when a blizzard strikes, Fallacieux will be prepared.

History:
Born into a family comprised of three older sisters and two older brothers, Fallacieux was predictably shunted as a child. With so many siblings, Fallacieux lived in bleak poverty, until it got to the point that Fallacieux’s father abandoned his mother and sisters; there was more bread on the table when shared between with four people instead of eight. As Fallacieux grew under his father's rigid authority, it was drilled into him that if he wanted to survive, he had better be prepared to do anything.
Eventually, hunger struck again. Fallacieux was nearing twelve when he came home to his family's hovel, only to find his father there, with neither of his brothers in sight. That night, Fallacieux was unable to sleep. Something smelled rotten, but they had no food, so what could it have been?
He hadn't questioned his brothers' disappearances. They usually did not come home until the very minute before curfew, but the smell of meat drove Fallacieux onwards.
Until he lifted up the floorboards, sweeping away the freshly-laid dirt...
And found his brothers, half-devoured.
Fallacieux’s scream woke up his father, unable to smother his terror as his siblings' murderer rose from his cot, one arm hidden behind his back. But Fallacieux was small and weak, unable to halt his crazed father from dropping the knife to the floor and biting into the flesh of Fallacieux’s arm like a beast.
Fallacieux scrambled for the crude knife, and snatched it.
...When authorities came, thirteen stab wounds were counted, but while they were confirming the three bodies, Fallacieux fled. Taken in by an orphanage soon after, Fallacieux’s gruesome past was never uncovered by those running it, nor did Fallacieux ever get caught.
As Fallacieux tried to adapt to his environment, he only found himself haunted, his recollections of the past following him. Fallacieux had developed a fear of crowds and people, and never left his room if he could help it, sneaking out in the dead of night to eat.
In addition to his social phobia, Fallacieux discovered he was a vorarephiliac. It wasn't distressing to the socially crippled boy that the idea of eating someone seemed very, very appealing. After all, the fruit doesn't fall far from the tree: his father had nibbled on both his siblings, and had tried to do the same to him as well.
Though he barely showed his face, the orphanage quickly noticed Fallacieux’s brilliance. However, they didn't want Fallacieux, finding his behaviour too unsettling. Fortunately, as Fallacieux neared fifteen he found another home, fortune anticipating the consequential result of Fallacieux becoming the foster child of a marquis.
However, one small mercy was that he stayed out of the competition as much as he could without falling too far behind. He didn't want to draw attention to himself; he didn't want to make a fool of himself.
Slowly, Fallacieux tried to cope, without much success.
